  1. They look really good Alan. What colours did you use? I am expecting to do some DAK for a commission sometime in the next few months.

    1. Thanks, I was pretty pleased with how they came out! Shirts and helmets are Iraqi sand; shorts are either Iraqi sand, US field drab, or a 50/50 mix of Russian uniform and Iraqi sand, depending whether items are from the later uniform (fresh and faded) or the older, olive green tropical uniform. Straps are GW scorched brown and socks, spade cover, gas mask etc khaki (probably not strictly accurate, but enough to get a bit of contrast with other bits of uniform). All then got the usual GW Devlan Mud wash and highlight with the original colour.

  3. Colours look good. Surely, along with their opponents 8th Army (v2), these were the most beautiful figures created by Airfix !

    1. Thanks Dave. I can't disagree with you, although I might add the german and us infantry as runners up. What interests me is that their best 1/76 models are also ones where they have the same poses in1/32.

    2. True, though the trouble with the Airfix 2nd version Jerries and US Marines is that they messed up the re-sizing and both sets contain figures in two entirely different scales !

      Cheers, Dave
